Education
BRB Modular has a strong customer base within the education sector comprising both public and private education clients.
Each client has different requirements which are dictated by climatic conditions, curriculum and student population and needs.
New South Wales Education
The ‘Modular Design Range’ Classrooms are designed for primary school students (ages 5 – 13 approx). They were installed as part of the state governments ‘Class Size Reduction’ program. The classrooms provide a fast and cost effective option without the disruption of an on-site build which would take considerably longer to deliver the same result.
Victoria Education
The design objective was to have a universal classroom that would suit both primary and secondary students (ages 5 – 18 approx) and fit within any schools overall design. Victorian classrooms are frequently relocated around the state so a solid design was essential.
Schools have the option to add accessories to their buildings from their own budget. An example of which is the ‘roof-over’ which joins two separate buildings to form an additional space.
Queensland Education
Two designs exist for Queensland Education –
- Standard 5 module classroom
Similar to Victoria, Queensland Education required a sturdy universal building that could adapt to any school environment. The standard 5 module classroom is able to be manufactured in a short space of time (5 days) and delivered to site. - Prep year classroom
Prep year classrooms are designed for prep year children (age 4-5) and give much consideration to providing the very best learning environment for students of this age. Internal wall surfaces are a combination of wood paneling for their durability and bright paint colours to stimulate the mind. Ceilings are perforated custom orb with an acoustic lining to absorb noise.
The prep year classrooms are a result of the state government’s phased introduction of the new ‘prep year’ into all state government schools (1600 approx.)
